God who created the Heavens and the Earth loves you. He wants to have a personal relationship with you. For this reason He sent His Son Jesus Christ into this world to die on the cross for our sins. By His atoning death on the cross Jesus made the way for us to be reconciled with God our Father.
If you accept what God did for you by sending His Son and receive Jesus as your savior then God will begin to work in your life to have a new relationship with you. 2 Corinthians 5:18-21 “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
Once reconciled to God by the cross of Jesus christ, we can begin to become “the righteousness of God” by following His word found in the Holy Bible.

Brothers and sisters, Regardless of what some may say do not let this truth escape your perception.
That, “God will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life: But to them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile.” (Romans 2:6,7,8,9,)
For the Lord Jesus Christ has warned us that we must attain to righteousness.(Matt. 5:20)
The truth that God has made the way of forgiveness for us, but also has given us the way to overcome sin, through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord.
This is the message found in the Holy Bible.
Paul writes in Colossians 1:26,
26. The mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His Saints.
27. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles:
Which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
28. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
The truth is that having faith in Jesus Christ and having His Spirit and His word dwelling in us is the only way for us to become the righteous people God wants us to be.
